Music for the people |
A quote by Hans Christian Andersen says “where words fail, music speaks”. This is how I relate to music because it is a place that gives me serotonin and an escape especially when things were rough growing up. Whenever I am upset I usually listen to sad music until I’m tired of being sad and then I will listen to some more upbeat music. When I’m in a good mood, I usually listen to my favorite songs that give me the most serotonin. Or sometimes I just listen to my playlist and just skip all the songs until one I like plays lol. Music became a big part of my life while I was younger and when I went into high school I decided to join the school band. Music is still a big part of my life.

Hermes and the lyre |
Hermes invented the Lyre almost immediately after she was born and then proceeds to go and steal Apollo's cattle. In my retelling, the Lyre is represented by the violin. Hermes is a mischievous musical artist. As most artists are, Hermes is often self-conscious of herself and her art but is an artist for a reason and loves to share her music with the world. Art is the way Hermes has found to express herself and show her emotions and share her feelings with those around her. In traditional Greek mythology Hermes is a male but in my retelling Hermes is female.
