Pre-Instruction Vessel
Artist statement:
1. Describe: This vessel is a slight diamond shape built with coils. On the rim of the vessel there are 2 roses and 2 leaves.
2. Analyze: I used form and shape in the main part of the vessel with the diamond. I used texture on the leaves. Finally, I used size with the roses.
3. Interpret: This vessel could be used as some kind of dish. I think it should be used as a key dish or a dish to hold other small items.
4. Judge/Evaluation: I like this vessel because it is simple but interesting. It can be useful or just for decoration and there is a lot to look at on it even though it is simple.

Abstract Tile: Unit 1
Artist statement:
1. Describe: This is a tile with seperate diagonal patterns made from different types of coils. Each section of paterns is kept in its area but moves into the next pattern.
2. Analyze: I used line, shape form, and texture in the patterns. I used space between the different patterns. Finally, I will use color in each of the patterns.
3. Interpret: This tile will be for decoration. The the patterns move into one another almost like waves. This shows the movement through the tile from one end to another and the different phases of it this tile is meant to represent the good times and the bad times in our life that we all go through.
4. Judge/Evaluation: I like this tile because I like how all the patterns turned out. I also like the way the patterns flow into each other.

Clay Vessel: Unit 2
Artist statement:
1. Describe: My vessels look organic. They have a rose and a vine on seperate circular plates with beads on an inside circle.
2. Analyze: The elements and principles of design that were used are form, texture, and color. The petals and leafs have natural texture. The rose and leafs along with the beads and plate will have color when they are glazed.
3. Interpret: The meaning is to show the natural beauty, fine detail, and elegance of nature it self. They show the fine detail in the leafs and petals. They also show the elegance in the way the petals and leafs lay.
4. Judge/Evaluation: I like my vessels because of how realistic they look. The rose looks pretty close to how and real rose looks and the leafs have a similar texture to real leafs.
